African Drumming-Forrest Akemann (Workshop sessions only)
Discover the exciting world of African Drumming and awaken your ‘beat’ within! Learn basic and proper techniques; create different tones and a variety of exciting rhythms while learning how to communicate with a group through a drum as well as learning how to go solo. No experience necessary. Eight week registered session. Drums are available for sale or rent, please see front desk for more information.
Couples Yoga-Mayra Marrero ( Workshop sessions only)
Candlelight and soft music set an intimate mood for this class. You will lead through a relaxing program of breathing, gentle stretching, meditation, massage, and assisted yoga poses. Throughout the class couples assist their partners with stretching and standing poses and take turns giving and receiving massage. Bring someone special for an evening of sharing and connecting through yoga and massage. No prior Yoga experience required. Class is open to all.
Tai Chi - Deborah Adams
Postural alignment, gentle movement, Qigong (chee gung) breathing techniques, and meditation practices to calm the body, mind, and spirit and give a sense of renewal and peace. Relaxing warm-up and basic techniques makes this form of Tai Chi effective for overall health and internal healing. All ages and fitness levels welcome, no specific start/end time. This class can be done seated or standing.
Yoga for Beginners-Mayra Marrero
Learn the fundamental movements of Yoga. This is a gentle moving class focusing on stretching, body alignment and medition. No prior Yoga experience necessary. Open to all. Join at any time.
Yin Yang Medical Qigong –Deborah Adams
Thorough full body warm-up followed by slow, gentle movements, posture and breathwork as well as a focus on energy within and around us to begin to tap into your ‘healing from within’. A total of 20 Chinese Yin Yang movements make up this beautiful healing dance to ease mental stress and tension while physically calming and strengthening your entire body.
