There are always wellness-focused classes and events happening at The Wellness Spa.  Keep an eye out for these as they are regularly posted and sent out through the Wellness Spa email list, but past class and events have included things like:

Description – We live in a time where it’s easy to disconnect our mind and spirit from our physical being. Some of us push our bodies to the point of exhaustion and overexertion, others remain so still that our tissues and joints have become stiff and numb, and many of us house stories of trauma, fear, or shame deep inside ourselves and it’s just become easier and safer to dissociate from our bodies entirely. But it doesn’t have to be like this forever; this, too, can be healed.

This workshop is a time of reconnecting with your body through intuitive practice. With guided embodied meditation, creative art reflection, oracle card guidance with various decks, and a supportive community to share sacred space, you are invited to re-associate with your body again. A homecoming of spirit and flesh. Grab a friend and join us for a time of free-flowing expression and of healing re-connection with your body.

Art supplies, oracle decks, reflection prompts…everything is supplied for you! Just bring a yoga mat, blanket, journal, and wear something comfortable so you can move and stretch!

Description – It is easy to look outside ourselves for the answers we seek, but all the wisdom we will ever need is within us, if we are willing to be still and listen to our subtle inner voice. By utilizing yogic technology to quiet the mind and connect to our breath, with practice, meditation can open awareness, quiet chaos, improve sleep, and benefit overall health while learning to give ourselves permission to just BE. This class is intended for ages 12 and up, no prior experience needed.

Description – Our body is more than just physical and mental, it is also an energetic system of ‘wheels’ or discs of spinning energy often referred to as chakras. There are seven main chakras, from the root or base of your spine to the crown of your head. To function at our best, our chakras need to stay open or balanced.

Using the power of crystal bowl sound meditation, gentle restorative yoga poses, and ‘Bija Mantras’ – voiced sounds associated with the chakra system – Tracy and Angela will take you on a journey into and through your chakras, giving focused time and attention at each chakra to allow you to connect with your inner and outer voice as you bring balance and harmony to your entire being.

No prior yoga experience needed. Open to ages 16 and up. Please bring your own mat & water bottle.

February – Women’s New Moon Circle

Description – When it comes to moon phases, the full moon tends to get most of the attention, whereas the NEW MOON gets overlooked. Yet, the new moon holds powerful energy of renewal, new beginnings, and planting seeds for the future. It is an ancient practice for women to gather during this time. This circle is held as a safe space for women to celebrate feminine energy, to share whatever needs to be shared, and to nourish body and mind through a feminine Yoga practice, music, and connection with ourself and other women in the circle.

This is what you can expect at every circle: Yoga practice: Circular, flowy movements that nourish the body, release and recharge energy; mudras (hand postures and movements) to feel and move energy. Community circle: This is a Yogic practice where we get together and share whatever wants/needs to be shared that day. The act of sharing and listening creates a feeling of connectedness with yourself and your community. Sharing is always optional. Yoga Nidra: Literally “Nidra” means sleep. This practice is a deep relaxation practice and will take up a significant portion of the circle. Music: Lara will play and sing live music to create a special atmosphere. She creates sound-scapes with her synthesizer and sings beautiful mantras that you can join singing or enjoy by just listening.

Theme of February’s Circle: INNER SEASONS

We all experience the ebb and flow of the natural seasons: the gradual budding of life in spring, the abundance of summer, filled with activity and energy, the twilight of fall when it’s time to harvest, and the quiet of winter with a desire to be cozy in our nest at home. Not only do the natural seasons influence how we feel depending on the time of year, but they also correspond with other cycles- menstrual cycles, the cycles of the day, the moon, the breath, and the cycles of our lives. In this event, you will be introduced to the concept of the inner seasons, get an idea of how you can apply this knowledge to your day to live a more balanced life, and practice a nourishing Yoga class that respects the inner season you are currently in. What to Bring: journal and pen, yoga mat, blanket or whatever you need to be cozy and comfortable.

As women, we care for so many others through our personal lives and careers, busy ourselves with all the details of the days, putting ourselves last over other’s needs … in turn losing who we once were, who we want to be again, or maybe releasing a new goddess that has been hiding inside of us all along. Here is your chance to gently awaken the girl inside, free your eternal spirit, deepen inner healing, and unleash your goddess within. Transformation includes fun, giggles, possible tears, and euphoria!

Let Deborah guide you through 12 simple, yet empowering Qigong movement s in a form she designed specifically for the transformation of a woman into the goddess she is. Combining the power of Words with Intention, Movements made for Women, and Intentional Breathwork, you will feel the difference in your emotional and physical being as you become enlightened into your own personal empowerment by a realization of that inner power and natural beauty within yourself, opening to the courage and strength to move forward into a life of peace, love, and joy.

Heal The Healer

Description – This is a space for healers, a retreat of rest and restoration for those who care for others. Nurses, doctors, medical professionals, therapists, bodyworkers, parents, teachers, caretakers, those caring for aging parents… whatever you do and whoever you are, this invitation is for you. This is a time where nothing is expected of you, and you can simply rest and receive. It’s your turn to be cared for.

During this workshop, we’ll restore health and vitality to your body and spirit through a sound bath, guided meditation, journaling, creative art prompts, and intuitive connection with your higher self through oracle cards. Hands-on reiki will also be offered to help bring you into a state of deep relaxation, align your chakras, and feel at peace.

Art supplies, journal prompts, and oracle cards are provided! Just bring a journal, yoga mat, blanket, and wear something comfortable so you settle in, rest, and receive.

Theme of March’s Circle: RESTORE BALANCE DURING THE SPRING EQUINOX

March 20th marks the day of spring equinox, when the length of day and night are perfectly balanced. We will let this be an inspiration for us in this circle. You will get tools to restore balance physically , mentally, and emotionally through Yoga, breathwork, and connection – with yourself and the other women in the circle. What to Bring: journal and pen, yoga mat, blanket or whatever you need to be cozy and comfortable.

Description – Dive deep on a journey into your body and bring forward heightened awareness and inner stillness through breath, sound, and yogic kriyas. Kundalini energy is divine energy that awakens the awareness which exists in us all. It is a call to make positive changes. When this happens, we can become who we are meant to be, and wake up to our destiny.

Kundalini yoga is a blend of yogic chanting, meditation with physical control, and the expression of power and energy. After a kundalini yoga class, you may feel like you’ve gone to therapy, worked out in the gym, and had a singing session with friends! Though you may feel relaxed afterward, the intent is not stillness and keeping quiet. In our unique Kundalini Awakening, you will learn to activate your energy centers by weaving your breath, sound, and movement into a cleansing and invigorating practice lead by our experienced yoga and sound dynamic duo.

Suitable for ages 16 and up. Waiver must be signed prior to class attendance. Please bring your own mat and water bottle.

Emotional Wellness Through Meditation & Ritual

Format:  Pre-Pay or Drop-in.  No guaranteed place without early sign-up/pre-pay.

Description – This weekly offering is the self-care you need to start the week off right! This is a time to set aside worries, lists, and obligations while giving yourself time and space to reset. Escape to this sacred space to relax and connect inwardly without distraction, a place where you can just be.

Each gathering is unique with a collection of various tools to facilitate this spiritual and emotional work: candlelit guided visual meditation, reflective journaling, sound healing, creative expression, and more. Sacred Soul is all about reflection, emotional wellness, and self-care. This is not meditation to quiet the mind, but to engage the mind in deep soul work that allows you to make the changes you want in your life, to face your truth, and to connect with your intuition.

No experience in meditation is required and all spiritual and gender expressions are welcome. Come as you are! $15 per class, or purchase 4 classes for $52 (save $8).

Things to Bring:  Journal, pen, & whatever you need to comfortably relax and be cozy (yoga mat, pillow, cushion, blanket, etc.).
